This special Diwali bundle for the month of October contains a copy of The Metamorphosis and one set of five special limited edition bookmarks. Each book is shipped wrapped in paper. The bookmarks are also wrapped and enclosed in a fold of paper.
Franz Kafka’s classic novella The Metamorphosis was first printed in German (as Die Verwandlung) back in 1915. This edition is the Qitaab limited edition reprint of the book.
The story explores themes of alienation and the absurdity of modern life, and remains pertinent in spite of its age.
Care has been taken to design the covers with Kafka’s original vision of the book. The front cover is foil pressed, and the binding and typesetting of the book have been designed with reading comfort and ease in mind. All Qitaab books are designed to open completely flat for reading on a table.
This special Diwali bundle also includes a set of our Limited Edition Bookmarks — five elegant designs foil pressed on black card. Each bookmark is carefully metal-pressed to create a de-bossed, textured surface. These are medium sized bookmarks (90mm x 30mm), designed to fit into books and booklets of any size. Each set of five bookmarks consists of a Scarab, Tesselating Geometry, Tangram Cat, Whisk and Leaf Imprint bookmarks.
